Ref. DLG B 19 : Partakers Of The Heavenly Calling

 

'' Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; ''  Hebrews 3:1 

Heavenly calling is the call of God for the saints of God to do the work of God on behalf of God for the establishment and expansion of God's kingdom . The partakers are those who are called into the service of God . Who have been given divine insight into the deep  things of God and are walking in the path way of divinity . This means they have access into the revelations of God , they are gifted and empowered with godly virtues for the glorification of God .

'' Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; '' 2 Corintians 4:1 It is the ministry and service of working alongside God in what God is doing in this end-time world to gather his children for the coming of the Lord . We are made partakers of this ministry by faith as we obtain God's mercy , God forgives us our sins and cleanses with the blood of Jesus Christ . Therefore,  we are suppose to walk in a righteous and godly  way without deception or hypocrisy . 

'' But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. '' 2 Corinthians 2:2 Those who are partakers of the heavenly calling have to make sure that they purify their ways , by forsaking evil , not hiding evil  , nor living in secret sin . They are not walking in craftiness , means they are honest and faithful , they are not dubious nor cheats who trick people into doing evil . 

They don't deceive people with wrong doctrines nor lifestyle  '' nor handling the word of the Lord deceitfully '' . They tell the truth and live a godly life to honour the most high God , '' By manifestation of the truth '' This means they confess Christ and live as such , without secret or hidden sins in their hearts . Those who are partakers of the heavenly calling set their focus on Christ Jesus ,and they are heavenly minded in their daily decisions . '' Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God '' Hebrews 12 : 2 

Their thoughts are always heavenward , living and preparing for a life in heaven . '' If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. '' The Lord wants us to have the mindset of heaven , be kingdom minded and heavenly focus . 

Prayer 

Lord help me by your grace to be heaven focused , because I am a partaker of the heavenly calling in the name of Yeshua . 

Ref. DLG B 18 : When The Spirit Takes Over

''  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. '' Luke 1:35

When the spirit takes over your life , you become a changed person , because the spirit of God will do some work of transformation in your life and this will produce the effect of your new character that will produce the effect your actions and eventually your destiny . Because your character determines your actions and your actions determine your destiny . The Holy Spirit comes upon us to empower us to do what we couldn't do naturally and as such we are able to accomplish a lot of changes .

'' And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. '' 1 Samuel 10:6 When Saul was anointed king over Israel , the spirit came upon him and he prophesied and he was turned into another person . This means his personality was transformed and his behaviour changed and he started doing what he could not do before , such as prophesying . When the spirit takes over your life , it means God is now taken over your life , it means God is now taken over and is in control of your destiny . 

'' And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.''  1 Samuel 10:7 The spirit of God brings the divine presence of God into your life , business , marriage , finances , and every thing that concerns your life as a child of God . The spirit of God takes over and makes things work out for your own good . As a child of God you must allow the spirit to always be in control of everything that you do or say . '' For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. '' Romans 8:14 The Holy Spirit will always direct your foot steps as a child of God . 

The Holy Spirit will talk to you direct , and instruct you , by the inner voice of conviction , that speaks through your heart .The spirit will energize you , so that you can be able to do what God wants you to do . '' Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. '' Zechariah 4:6 The spirit brings God's power and might into our lives and makes us the kind of people who will do God's kind of mission . The spirit used to come upon Samson and he would fight and kill so many of his enemies .

'' And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house. '' Judges 14:19 There are so many people of God who God used to help and lead the people of Israel by the power of the spirit of God . '' And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the Lord delivered Chushan–rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan–rishathaim. ''  Judges 3:10  

Prayer 

Lord Jesus Christ , I receive the power of the Holy Spirit , so that I can do all things that you want me to do in this life in Jesus name . 

Ref. DLG B 17 : Resisting The Devil

 

'' Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.''James 4:7

God has given has a responsibility to resist the devil , in fact as children of God , we have power with God to resist satan and overcome every manipulation of the evil one against our destiny . The opening scripture declares that if we resist satan he will actually flee from us immediately . But first we need to submit ourselves to God and and afterwards we can actually resist the devil . Submission to God is a matter of humility before God , we are humble enough to obey the word of God , then we can have power to resist satan . 

Jesus had to resist satan in the wilderness when he came to tempt him , '' Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. '' Matthew 4 :10 We need to resist any thought of doing evil , because that is usually the voice of the devil .To resist devil means we reject his demonic invitation to do evil or sin against God , because that is where satan has chance to destroy human lives . 

Resisting the devil implies praying against every evil plan , agenda and will of the devil and his schemes . '' Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: '' 1 Peter 5 : 8 The devil is our adversary , he is typically against who we are and what we stand for and our God given destiny .Whenever we pray we stand to resist satan , ''  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. '' 1 Peter 5:9 

The devil must be resisted , we must at all cost stop satan from manipulating us . The scripture above explains that satan brings affliction , troubles , problems , calamities , and omen into human lives . Therefore , we must resist satan in prayers by binding and loosing all the strongholds of satan by prayer . '' Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. '' Matthew 18:18  

The Lord has given us the power to resist the devil and he will flee from us as we pray and call upon the name of the Lord . Satanic powers bow down to us in the name of our Lord Yeshua . '' Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. '' Philippines 2:9-11

Prayer 

Lord Yeshua , I thank you for your word , help me to resist satanic forces that fight against my life and destiny in the name of Yeshua .

Ref. DLG B 16 : The Workmanship of God

'' For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. '' Ephesians 2:10

Being the workmanship of God means we are the handiwork of God , God himself molded us , so that we can function in his way and do his will . The opening scripture makes it clear that God created us so that we can do the good works that God has designed for us as his lovely children . God formed and fashioned us so that we we can be his lovely children that he created us to be . We are fashioned and formed to function in different ways  and different forms . 

God told Jeremiah , '' Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. '' Jeremiah 1:5  There are four main things which happen to us during the process of the formation or creation when God actually was molding us .God said '' I knew thee, I formed thee , I sanctified thee , and I ordained thee . '' The first thing in the process is that God knew you , who you are and who you will be , and what you could become  .

The second thing in this process is formed ; God actually designed and made you in a manner that God has planned so that you could fit into his design for you on the earth  .  The formation is what actually makes you unique and peculiar in the hands of God in order to function in a particular way to achieve his purpose and plan .'' But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: '' 1 Peter 2:9 

The next thing in God's creation is sanctification , this is a process of being made whole, clean and delivered to do what God wants us to do as children of God . God takes time to sanctify us to be able to do what he want us to do . Sanctification involves being  set free from sin and all forms of filthiness so that the child of God will be holy and just in the sight of God . The word of God declares '' That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; '' 1 Thessalonians 4:4 

Through sanctification we are able to live righteously and blamelessly in the sight of God . God sanctifies us so that we can have a salvation in Christ Jesus , '' But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: '' 2 Thessalonians 2:13 The final thing God does in his workmanship is to ordain you into your very office of operation , service , ministry , or mission in his kingdom . 

Prayer 

Lord Jesus help me to function in your kingdom the way you formed me to function . Use me to do what you have created me to do in this world . 

Ref. DLG B 15 : The Work Of God

 

'' But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. '' John 5:17 

Jesus was stretching the fact that he is working because of God is at work in him . This is to say Jesus is doing what God has empowered him to do . In other words he cannot work if God is not working in him . The child of God must understand that whatever God is doing is what we are called to do . God actually works in us to have the desire to do his work in his will . '' For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. ''  Philipines 2:13 

If God is not working within you , you cannot do anything on his behalf . We can do what he gives us the desire and the capacity to do for him and for his name sakes , so that he alone will be glorified . If you actually have the will and the desire to do the work of God , make sure you work it out , because it is important to understand that the devil might try to fight you or hinder you . 

This is the reason the word of God admonishes us to obey with fear the commandment of God . '' Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. '' Philippines 2:12 God's work must be done out of reverence for God , with trembling and effectual zeal . There are so many things we do as the work of God , preaching the word of God , helping the needy and winning souls for Christ . Inviting people to church , cleaning the house of God , and many other things . 

There is what we call zeal , that is what a person need in order to do the work of God as a child of God . Without zeal you cannot do what God wants you to do or you can be intimidated . '' For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. '' Psalm 69:9 The zeal is the intense desire that makes you do things with strong tenacity and that can be influenced easily . God certainly does so many things , but he uses people to achieve that purpose , that is by working through them . 

The work of God must be done by a prepared people , those who are cleaned , washed , purified , sanctified , and justified by the blood of  Jesus Christ . ''  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. ''  2 Timothy 2:21 The emphasis is on staying pure from sin and filthiness , previously in the 19th verse the scripture declares   '' ... Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. '' 2 Timothy 2 :19 Therefore we can successfully do the work of God if we stay away from iniquity and sin . 

Prayer 

Lord Jesus thank you for the opportunity to be part of the workers in the vineyard of the Lord , give me grace to do your work diligently in the name of Yeshua . 

Ref. DLG B 14 : Times And Seasons

 '' To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: '' Ecclesiastes 3: 1 

There are times and seasons he has his own appointed times and seasons he has ordained for his children to walk in . The times are specific set time when God will do something in our lives . As children of God we are suppose to worship God and believe in God's timing . The season is an era in which events takes place , for instance we have dry season , raining season , winter , summer, spring and Autumn seasons . The season is a period of time duration in which something takes place as ordained by God . 

As children of God we need to have understanding of God's timing and seasons in which God would do something for us , through us and with us . This was the manner of the children of  '' Issachar , which were men that had understanding of the times , to know what Israel ought to do .''  1 Chronicles 12:32 God does not just do things , but he does things the way he has ordained it and in the set time . 

We need to understand that God will surely do what he has said and promised in his word , but he will surely use you and I to do it , but it must be done in his time and his season . The time God has set is the time that God will can take the credit and the glory for what is done . We study in scripture when uses time to talk to his children about his promises . '' Is anything too hard for the Lord ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee , according to the time of life and Sarah shall have a son .'' Genesis 18: 14 

The time appointed is what God uses to do his planned and purpose concerning our lives and it is always the time of life . This means when it is done in God's time , it will bring peace and life to God's children . There are some of these times and seasons when the Father in heaven will choose to hide it from us , for his own reasons . '' And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power '' Acts 1:7  The Lord told the disciples that the Father does not want them to know the specific times and seasons .

God usually hide his timing from us , so that he can test our integrity when you do not know the exalt time the Lord will visit you , you are tested with patience , endurance , perseverance and long-suffering . The Lord wants us to draw near to him all the time and serve him all the time , then he can surprise us with an unexpected miracle of breakthrough that we have being longing for all the while . '' But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. '' Matthew 24:36

Prayer

Lord Jesus help  me to understand that you work with time and you will surely show up and bless my life in your own appointed time in the name of Yeshua 

Ref. DLG B 13 : Coming To God

 

'' But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.''  Hebrews 11 :6

Coming to God , means entering into his presence in person through worship ,prayer , hearing the word, obedience , and attending church service .  Whenever we come into his presence , we must come by faith . God is invisible , yet very real and more powerful than all the visible . We come with faith , believing in his existence , his ability and in his word . We must also believe that he is our rewarder and the one who will bless us and solve our problems , in short we must believe , in his salvation . 

We come with an altitude of praise , thanksgiving and adoration . '' Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name ''  Psalm 100 :4 The process that leads us into God's presence is singing , praising,  asking and adoring the greatness of God . in hymns and Psalms . Another process which we enter the presence of God is by living right and doing the right thing as a child of God . 

'' Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully ''  Psalm 24:3-4 We must enter the presence with clean hands and pure heart , this symbolizes righteousness which is necessary for us to be able to stand before God without any sense of guilt . This means that we must confess all known and unknown sins whenever we come to God . 

There is always a blessing for those who come to God , for they return the same way they came . '' He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah '' Psalm 24:5-6 The Lord is the rewarder , this means we have God's gifts of salvation and blessing of inheritance and eternity . Another way of coming to God is by humility , it does not matter who you are , when you come into God's presence , you must humble yourself .

'' Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. '' James 4: 10 The Lord delights in the humble person , to humble in this sense means you loose focus of who you are and deny yourself of your self esteem . The Lord Jesus Christ wants us to know him well enough , so that we can emulate his humble character , you do not mind whichever situation or condition , you just worship God . 

Ref. DLG B 12 : Walking With God

''  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. '' Genesis 5:24

Walking with God is the process of knowing God , hearing his word , obeying and observing the word , praying to God as well as testifying about God . When you walk with God , it is a privilege afforded by the grace of God for you to discover the secret things of God . It is a great opportunity to walk with God , because you will see the revelation of God's mysteries . '' The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.'' Deuteronomy 29:29 

The people who walk with God are usually attentive to the Holy Spirit of God , because they are very conscious of God's presence through the Holy Spirit . They are typically led by the spirit of God . '' For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. '' Romans 8:14  Those walking by the spirit of God are the ones God can lead through the word of God . This means a portion of scripture can drop into your spirit concerning your particular situation , or the circumstance to which you need God's direction and instruction . 

If you want to really walk with God , then you must study , read and listen to the word of God all the time , because God speaks through his word . '' All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: '' 2 Timothy 3:6  The Lord uses his word to inform , instruct , direct , correct , rebuke and teach us to know his ways and manners . One of the things that you must do , to get intimate with God is fasting occasionally , especially when you can dedicate time to pray and study the word of God in the time of your fasting and prayers . People like Moses , Daniel , { Daniel 0:2-3 } , John the baptist , even Yeshua and then the early disciples all fasted and prayed .'' As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. '' Acts 13:2-3 

Fasting should not be all the time , but it must be done occasionally and repeatedly on a routine . A person walking with God must not indulge in sin , in fact you must hate sin , shun and eschew evil like Job  { Job 1:1 } 

Prayer 

Lord Jesus Christ help me to walk with you day by day and reveal yourself to me more and more in the name of Yeshua . 

Ref. DLG B 11 : Standing On The Word

 '' ... upholding all things by the word of his power '' Hebrews 1:3 

There is the need for us to stand firmly on the word of God in every thing that we do and in whichever capacity we do it . The world should not dictate to us what we should do or say . As a matter of fact we have been given the divine authority to control the world by using the word of God . '' For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. '' Hebrews 4:12

The word has power to destroy every satanic activity and enforce the will of God upon the earth . It is a sword that is used to fight the enemies of God in our lives , quoting , confessing , proclaiming and declaring the word of God over your life and every circumstance is what the devil fears , because it is powerful and demons flee because of that . This is the same word that God used to create the world and it still controls the world . '' Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. ''  Hebrews 11:3 

We can stand on God's word and degree things and it will happen , because God's word say so . God used the word to create , God said , '' Let there be light ''  this is the same word that brought the light , because God said so . Standing on the word means we obey the word and do what it says about our lives . We are suppose to obey the word of God , do things according to what is written , and say things according to what is in the scriptures . '' And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. '' Acts 20:32

Through God's word we are built up and we are moving forward and doing great things . The word can build you up spiritually and establish you so that you can do all that God wants you to do . Finally the word can help you to overcome sinful temptations , '' Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. '' Psalm 19:11 Keeping the word in your heart , observing the word and obeying it will help you to overcome the world . 

Prayer 

Heavenly father help me as I stand on your word and empower me to serve you all the days of my life and let your word come to pass in my life daily . 

Ref. DLG B 10 : Walking In Love

'' My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. '' 1 John 3:18 

Walking in love is the art of displaying love in our daily life decisions and actions . The love of God must be displayed through us to our neighbours around us . Love is an action word and it must be demonstrated in every facet of our life , especially in areas of business , relationships , finances and day to day activities . To love means you do deeds that flow out of  love for the individual , the way we talk , the way we do business and the way way we interact with people . 

'' But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; '' Matthew 5:44 Jesus principles of walking in love is typically against human principle , love , which states '' .. thou shalt love thy neighbour and hate thine enemy . '' Matthew 5: 43 We are even suppose to do good to our enemies if need be , pray for their welfare and what is more bless those who rain curses on us . 

Jesus said that this type of love demonstration shows that we are the children of heavenly Father  .'' That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust ''  Matthew 5:45 God's kind of love is marvelous ; giving rain which is the symbol of blessing to the sinner as well as to the righteous . God could have chosen to send rain only on the field of the righteous and ignores the wicked , but for love sake he did not . 

Jesus stressed the fact that our love must be seen and differentiated from that of the sinners  . '' For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? '' Matthew 5:46-47 What Jesus explains about walking in love is real life experience , it is really normal for you to love and greet your brothers and sisters who love and care for you . Jesus said that the sinner also do the same , so it is the normal life behaviour , but not a demonstration of love . 

Jesus wants us to make a great difference of loving those who hate us , by demonstrating that love in greetings , good deeds , praying for them and if possible giving them gifts . This sounds foolish to the worldly and sinful people , but it is God's kind of love , he wants us to embrace , to show the world the love of Christ Jesus our Lord . He prayed for those who crucified him . '' Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots '' Luke 23:34 

PRAYER 

Lord Jesus help me to walk in love and demonstrate that love even to my enemies in the name of Yeshua  . 

Ref. DLG B 9 : No Provision For The Flesh

'' But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. '' Romans 13:14 

There is a natural tendency for us to allow our flesh to dominate us , this means you allow the flesh to control your life style . The passion , the lust and the lures of the flesh can be so demanding in our lives that if care is not taken you can sin thereby . When Paul said , make no provision for the flesh , he was actually warning us to make sure we do not yield to the lusts of our flesh and commit willful sins like adultery , fornication and all forms of sexual perversion  { Leviticus 20:-17 }

'' To fulfil the lust '' is a way for making provision for your sinful flesh to rule your life . This means you will do things , because of lust , you are controlled by the lust of the eyes or the lust of the flesh. Paul said in order not to make provision for the flesh he keeps his body under his feelings , and not over his feelings .  '' But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. '' 1 Corinthians 9:27 

The apostle said he had to put his body under subjection , that is to say , suppress the lustful and sinful flesh so that he does not obey the lustful desires . That is how he will not make provision for the flesh thereof . The apostle stressed that he does not want to be a cast away { go to hell fire } after he had preached to so many about salvation . The flesh is always at war against the spirit of God within you , so the more you give the flesh a chance by succumbing to the sinful flesh you loose the battle for the soul salvation .

'' For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. '' Galatians 6:17  The enemy of the spirit is the flesh , I mean the sinful flesh and the lustful desires it promotes . In order not to make provision for the flesh , you must walk in the spirit , be in the spirit and think in the spirit . This means  you walk according to the word , think according to the word and act according to the word , and then you speak according to the word . 

In this way you will be spiritually minded and full of the word of God .Romans 8:4 declares  '' For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. '' Romans 8 : 14 When a person is directed by the Holy Spirit through the word of God to obey God , he is bound to overcome the flesh . '' For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. '' Romans 8:5 

PRAYER 

Lord Jesus help me to overcome the flesh and its lustful desires  , so I can walk in the spirit continually in the name of Yeshua . 

Ref. DLG B 8 : Election Of Grace

'' Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace '' Romans 11:5  

God choose us by his grace not by merit , because Jesus Christ has paid the price for us to be elected by God.  The truth is that many have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God , but Jesus Christ however gave us the credit of righteousness , so that we can stand before the Almighty God . '' For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. '' 2 Corinthians 5:21 

When we are elected by grace , it is not by virtue of our deeds , but is by the virtue of Christ's righteousness credited to our account . ''  And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.'' Romans 11:6 God choose us to serve and to stand before him in his kingdom , by the finished work that Christ has already accomplished in the cross of Calvary .

The law was given to enforce righteousness , but the weakness of human beings could not obey the law of righteousness . Therefore , Yeshua brought a grace of righteousness that is meant to save us .  '' And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. '' John 1:16-17 To be elected by grace means that what we could not do  the grace of God has done it for us . 

The sinful nature could not overcome sin ,but the grace working through Christ overcame the sinful flesh on our behalf . '' For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.come sin , but the grace working through Christ overcame the sinful flesh on our behalf . '' Romans 8:3-4  Our righteousness was fulfilled in Christ's perfect righteousness and for that matter our life was made better and equipped by the grace .

Whenever , you are elected by this grace of God you have an inherit ability to overcome sin , because the grace gives you the power over sin  '' For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. '' Romans 6:14  A perfect election by grace gives you a life that is free from the slavery of sin and ushers you into the freedom of righteousness that Christ Jesus promised us . { John 8:34-36 } 

Prayer : 

Lord Jesus thank you for electing me to stand in your presence by the grace of God upon my life in the name of Yeshua .I receive more grace  to serve you more day by day in the name of  Yeshua . Amen . 

Ref. DLG B 7 : Everlasting Punishment

''  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal '' Matthew  25:46 

Everlasting  punishment  is  the  damnation  of  hell  fire  ,  that  God  has  reserved  for  sinners  at  the  judgement  day   .The  reality of  everlasting punishment  is  living  in  hell  fire  perpetually , forever  ,  without an  end  .  This  punishment  is  torment  of  hell  fire  reserved for all  sinners who are in  the  company  of  the  devil . '' Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: '' Matthew 25:41 

The punishment of sinners in fire  is for eternity and this is the reason why we draw people's attention to salvation so that they will not found themselves in this place of torment .  According to the rich man in hell fire there is torment of flames . '' And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. '' Luke 16 : 24 This rich man was not only tormented by flames of fire ,he was also extremely thirsty , looking for a drop of water to cool just his tongue .

The demons , which are fallen angels , satan himself and all sinners who were deceived by the devil to do evil will all be chained in the lake of fire , forever . '' And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. '' Jude 1:6 This everlasting punishment is reserved  for all evil workers and deceivers alike who look down on God's word . 

God used Sodom and Gomorrah as an example to show us how that there is punishment for our sins , if we do not repent . '' Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. '' Jude 1:7  God used fire to examplify the fact that all sinners are liable of being condemned in everlasting fire , unless they repent . 

'' But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. '' Revelation 21:8  Jesus made us to understand that all these category of sinners will forever face God's wrath in hell fire , because of their evil deeds . Hell fire is unquestionable and irreversible tide for the sinners . '' O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. '' Jeremiah 21:12

Prayer 

Heavenly Father , thank you for teaching me to know everlasting punishment reserved for sinners , lead me Lord on the path of righteousness and save my soul so that I will escape this everlasting punishment in th name of Yeshua . 

Ref. DLG B 6 : The Lost Son

'' It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found '' Luke 5:32

In the parable the lost is described as being a prodigal son, this means every sinner lives a life of prodigality . To be prodigal means to be wasteful in expenditure , spending unnecessarily . Most at times people who do not use their life time and resources to honour God are being prodigal . Satan is crafty in making sure that people are wasting their years , on earth and the provision of life God gives them to indulge in all forms of sinful activity .

This lost son was hasty in life , he was the youngest , yet said that he wanted to get his inheritance from the father , while the father was still alive , although inheritance are usually given out when the father pass away .'' And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. '' Luke 5:2 

Most sinners are usually the type who wants to get rich quick , as a result they resort to all forms of evil schemes in order to achieve their desires . The next thing that this lost son did was to go far from the father , '' And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. ''  Luke 15:13 This is one of the causes of people going astray from God the Father ; journeying far from the Father . This means you are  too far from where you can be monitored and controlled  by the word of God , 

There are many lost souls who are  living very far from God's word  ,where God cannot help them . God can only help us when we draw near to him with a sincere heart ready to obey God's  word . And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. '' Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.'' James 5:8 The lost son lost his identity , he forgot who he was , instead he acted ,lived and functioned like an ordinary servant , whereas he was a son of a rich man .

In the process he spent all , lost all and became nobody . ''And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want '' Luke 15:14 When people are lost in sin they loose their glory and their lives become meaningless and devoid of the glory of God  .But at last he came to his senses ,'' I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, ''  Luke 5:18  That is a renewed mind , the mind that sees God , ask for forgiveness , the mind that acknowledges and repents from sin  . It is time for the lost to return to the Father . 

PRAYER 

Lord Jesus help me to be closer to the father , keeping his word and receiving instructions , so that I will never be lost , in the name of Yeshua .
